Getting Here

On the road between Jindabyne and Perisher

Follow Kosciuszko Road from Jindabyne towards Perisher; the park is on the left at Sawpit Creek, inside the national park boundary. Vehicle entry fees apply. In winter, all 2WD vehicles must carry snow chains in the Thredbo–Perisher area, and NPWS recommends all vehicles carry them.

Roads & park entry

Allow for national park vehicle entry fees. Check current road, trail and weather-related closures before setting out.

Carry correctly sized chains and know how to fit them. Alpine weather can change quickly, even when Jindabyne is clear.

Bring warm layers year-round. Telstra generally has the best local coverage; other networks can be limited. Paid Wi-Fi vouchers are available at reception.
