Minimum Booking Periods –

Christmas Period: Minimum of 2 nights in All Chalets, Cabins and On-Site Van.

Summer Period: Minimum of 2 nights in Deluxe Chalets and Alpine Chalets.

Easter Period: Minimum of 3 nights in All Chalets, Cabins, On-Site Van and camping sites-  (Must include Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Winter Period: Bookings of 2 nights, 5 nights and 7 nights only. This applies to all Cabins,Chalets and On-Site Van.

2 day stay from  Friday to  Sunday.
5 day stay from Sunday to Friday.
7 day stay from either Friday or Sunday.

Occupancy -

Each Two Bedroom Chalet and Cedar Cabin will accommodate a maximum of 6 persons and 1 vehicle. Three Bedroom Spa Chalets will accommodate a maximum of 8 people and 2 vehicles.  Each powered and unpowered site will accommodate a maximum of 6 persons and 1 vehicle only.  Extra vehicles may be accepted with an extra vehicle charge.

Fire Pits-

All the powered Sites, Cabins, Chalets and most of the unpowered sites have fire pits. Firewood from outside is not permitted. 15kg Bags of fire wood are available for sale at the office during business hours.

Children –

For the purpose of tariff calculation, guests aged 3 to 16 inclusive, at the time of you visit, are classified as children. Infants under the age of 2 at the time of your visit are free of charge, however are still counted as “an occupant” of the Chalet, Cabin or camping site.

Linen -

Doonas and pillows are provided for each bed.  Personal linen (sheets, pillow cases and towels) is to be provided by guests.  However, linen hire is available at a minimal extra cost and if required should be arranged at the time of booking, or no less than a week prior to your arrival date.


Deposit -

Your 50% deposit must be received within 7 days (or as stated on email) of making your reservation. Online bookings require 100% .

Short Notice Bookings –

The 50% booking deposit for any reservation made within 21 days of your arrival date, must be paid for at the time of booking by credit card ONLY. This payment is subject to a NIL Refund in the case of a cancellation.


Cancellations/Refunds -

All Cancellations must be in writing. The following fee’s apply to ALL bookings:

*Greater than 42 days of Arrival Date: 12 month Credit or Refund – Minus a 20% Cancellation fee of required deposit.

*Between 42 Days and 15 Days of Arrival Date: 12 month Credit only- Minus 20% Cancellation Fee of required deposit.

*Within 14 Days of Arrival Date: Total loss of deposit paid.

If you do not show for the first night of your reservation but plan to check-in for subsequent nights in the reservation, you must confirm the reservation with Kosciuszko Tourist Park no later than the original date of check-in. As it's a prepaid accommodation, the full tariff will be charged on the booked check in date, the tariff quoted will remain unchanged and there will be no refunds for the days you were unable to show up.


No Show-
*Will result in a total loss of all money paid. This includes bookings by individuals or groups.

Drying Room - Charged separately. Please see Reception for Charges

Transfer of Booking –

*If Greater 42 days of your arrival date, your booking may be rescheduled to an alternative date, a transfer fee of $35 or 5% of the total tariff charge (whichever is greater) will apply.

 *If between 42 days and 22 days of your arrival date, your booking may be rescheduled to an alternative  date, a transfer fee of $35 or 5% of the total tariff charge (whichever is greater) will apply.

 *If between 21 days and 14 days of your arrival date, your booking may be rescheduled to an alternative date, a transfer fee of $70 or 10% of the total tariff charge (whichever is greater) will apply.


*Once a booking has been transferred, no further changes may be made. This will result in a loss of deposit.
* Booking can only be transferred or changed once.



  - Your advance deposit may be made by credit card or by direct credit into our bank account.
  - Short-term bookings must be paid at the time of booking by credit card ONLY.
  - Balance payments are due in full on arrival and should be paid by cash or credit card (EFTPOS). Sorry, personal cheques cannot be accepted for payments on arrival.

Group Bookings -

With ALL group bookings, a Credit Card imprint will be taken, this is a minimum of $500.00 per group. All unlawful damage during the visit will be debited to the Person/Groups card. This will include, but not limited to ALL Chalets, Cabins, Camp Kitchen, amenities blocks and structures located within Kosciuszko Mountain Retreat. If the damage exceeds the minimum amount an Invoice will be sent out to recoup the cost.


Cabin Change -

We reserve the right to relocate any booking under exceptional circumstances.


Arrival and Departure Times -

Your check-in time is after 3.00pm and your check-out time is before 10.00am.  A later arrival date or earlier departure date than originally booked will not qualify for a refund.  If your departure is later than 10.00am or your arrival time earlier then 3:00pm an extra day charge will be applied.


Flora and Fauna -

Being located in the National Park, the local environment is particularly attractive and fragile, and, our native animals are very trusting and visitor friendly. These are protected.  Please be kind to our plants, animals and birds. It is also a condition of entry into Kosciuszko National Park, that no trees or branches be used in the fire places.



At the time of printing, the charges shown on this schedule are correct but may be subject to alteration without notice.



Sorry, for the protection of our environment, pets are not allowed inside Kosciuszko National Park. Quality boarding kennels for cats and dogs are located nearby, we can give you the names and numbers if you wish. Bookings may be necessary, so please discuss your needs with us at the time of booking.


Park Use Fee_

The NPWS requires a Park Use Fee for visitors to the National Park.  Information is available by phoning the Service on 02 6450 5600, or visit their web site.
